toekomstige creaties / future creations

De term WIP (work in progress) wordt in blogland veel gebruikt. Vind het niet zo'n mooie uitdrukking en heb het liever over mijn toekomstige creaties ...

En dat zijn er nogal wat op het moment, eigenlijk. Onbedoeld, dat wel, maar toch ... Lees je even mee?

• de babette deken: die gestaag vordert eigenlijk. Bestaat uit 126 vierkanten van verschillende formaten in 17 verschillende kleuren. Wat de stand precies is, weet ik niet. Wel dat de grote vierkanten praktisch allemaal klaar zijn en vooral de kleintjes nog gemaakt moeten worden. En daarna natuurlijk de grote puzzel van alle vierkanten op de juiste plek en ze dan aan elkaar zetten. En afwerken natuurlijk ...
• een tas voor mijn schoonmoeder. Ze zag laatst mijn zelfgemaakte gekleurde tas en gaf tussen neus en lippen door aan er ook wel eentje te willen. Laat ze nu over anderhalve maand jarig zijn. Hier is dus wel een kleine deadline, maar dat gaat wel lukken!
• afrikaanse bloemen: wat zijn die leuk zeg! Ik heb er nu vier gemaakt, maar het moeten er dan nog veel meer worden. En wat ik er dan van ga maken, weet ik nog niet: een deken, een tas, ... Eerst een voorraadje aanleggen.
• sunburst grannies: die zien er ook al zo leuk uit. En verder hetzelfde verhaal als de afrikaanse bloemen, eerst een voorraad maken, gewoon omdat alleen dat al zo leuk is.
• regenboog deken: van heel zachte wol in lieve pastelkleurtjes ben ik 64 vierkanten aan het maken. In 16x4 verschillende patronen en in drie verschillende kleurencombinaties. 't Was even puzzelen, maar het plan is er. Patronen allemaal uit '200 crochet blocks' en '200 patterns & stitches for baby blankets' van Jan Eaton. Ik ben nu 3 vierkanten op weg. De wol is lekker zacht en de resultaten vind ik erg mooi.
• gebloemde zeshoeken: sinds afgelopen weekend ... Ik zag een patroon voor een tas met 28 van deze zeshoeken en ik wilde de zeshoek zo graag uitproberen. Heb 'm met wat kleine aanpassingen maar de gebloemde zeshoek genoemd. Ik denk dat na deze 28 zeshoeken er vast wel meer gemaakt gaan worden, voor ... ook nog onbekend.

Tja, dat zijn mijn toekomstige creaties waar ik aan werk. Ik heb daarnaast nog wel allemaal plannen hoor, maar die moeten nog maar heel even plan blijven. Als je vier dagen werkt en twee dochters van 4 en 8 hebt, en er heel binnenkort ook nog een hond komt, blijft er weinig tijd over. De creaties moeten natuurlijk wel een keer afkomen ...

In blog- & craftland on internet everybody talks about WIP's (work in progress). Actually, I don't like that name that much. I'd rather talk about my future creations ...

I have quite a lot future creations to be honest. That was not meant to be, but just happened, ha ha.

• the babette blanket, which grows quite substantially. It will be made out of 126 squares of different sizes in 17 different colours. I'm not sure about the number of squares which are finished. The biggest sizes squares are finished, 'only' the smaller ones have to be crocheted. After that, the big challenge of putting all squares on the right spot and joining them. And finishing babette of course ...
• a bag fo my mother in law. A few weeks ago she spotted the multicoloured bag I made for myself and kind of dropped that she liked it. Well, she has her birthday in August ... So, there is a smaal deadline, but that one I can handle, easily ...
• african flowers: I like them so much! I made only four of them up till now, but will make lots and lots more. What I will make of it, I don't know yet: a blanket, a bag, ... First create a lot more.
• sunburst grannies: I also like them a lot. It is the same story as with the african flowers. First I will make lots more, just because it is so much fun crocheting them.
the soft-coloured 64 square • rainbow blanket: I am creating it out of very soft wool in sweet and soft colours. In 16x4 different patterns and three different colourcombinations. It started with quite a puzzle, but the plan is ready! All patterns are from '200 crochet blocks' & '200 patterns & stitches for baby blankets' by Jan Eaton. I have made three squares so far. The wool is so soft and I like the results a lot.
• flowery hexagons: I started them last weekend ... I saw a pattern for a bag with 28 of these hexagons and wanted to try out the hexagon so much. With a few slight changes I called it the flowery hexagon. I guess that after the 28 hexagons and the bag, I'll make more of them, for ... not sure yet.

Well, this is the complete list of the future creations I am working on. Next to that: a whole bunch of plans and dreams. I'll keep on dreaming about them. When you have a job for fours days, two daughters at the ages of 4 and 8, and a dog coming in the very near future, there is only little time left. The future creations have to become reality someday ...
