een nieuwe droom: dreaming of Andalusia (1)

Ruim een jaar geleden kwam ik Babette tegen op internet en werd op slag verliefd op haar. Ze is inmiddels klaar (ja, heus, binnenkort laat ik haar echt zien). En de afgelopen week kom ik op verschillende plekken een nieuwe droom tegen.

Hoe is het toch mogelijk? Een patroon dat ruim een jaar geleden gepubliceerd is. En nu opeens actueel op verschillende blogs, grappig. Maar ja, ik werd verliefd …

Some more than over a year I met Babette on the internet and immediately fell in love with her. By now, I have finished her (yes I did, and yes, I’ll show her soon). Last week I met a new dream, at several sites in the same week.

How is that possible? It is a pattern which was published over a year ago. And right now, it is quite actual blogging topic. Funny. But hey, I was telling that I fell in love …




Dit is het origineel: de Moorish Mosaic Afghan. Vind je ‘m niet mooi? Ik vind ‘m prachtig!

En inderdaad, ik heb associaties met de Andalusische koningssteden Córdoba, Granada en Sevilla. En met onder andere de Moorse paleizen daar, maar ook de warmte, de kleuren, de zon, het lekkere eten, de goede herinneringen die daar liggen. De combinatie van achthoeken en vierkanten vind ik ook erg leuk.

Zal ik het gaan doen? Ja, ik ga het doen. Ik ga alleen andere kleuren kiezen, die voor mij beter bij Andalusië passen. Ik hou meer van felle, vrolijke kleuren. Zoals deze bijvoorbeeld (met dank aan http://samarlafield.blogspot.com/).

Want het gaat mijn ‘MANTA DE ANDALUCÍA’ worden! Yes, ik heb er zin in!!


The first picture is a picture of the original afghan: the Moorish Mosaic Afghan. Don’t you like it? I love it!

And yes, it gives me memories of the Andalusian Cities of Kings Córdoba, Granada en Seville. Of the Moorish palaces, but also of the heat, the sun, the colours, the good food and all those sweet memories hidden over there. And I like the combination of octagons and squares for a change.

Will I do it? Yes, I will. But I will choose other colours, which for me suit better to Andalusia like I have experiences Andalusia. I prefer bright and happy colours. Like these for instance (thanks to http://samarlafield.blogspot.com/).

Because it will be my ‘MANTA DE ANDALUCÌA´! Yes, I am really looking forward to it!!
